We are a family run small business that cares about our community and our local waterways. We put extra time into making sure we try our best to make your stay with us as comfortable as we can. We are constantly making changes and adding amenities to make sure we have something for everybody :)

Constructed between 1833-1920
The Trent-Severn Waterway was originally built for floating of timber cut from nearby forests.
Logging, milling, steam boating, and grain handling were the primary uses of the waterway.
Starting from Trenton, Ontario, spanning approximately 32 kilometers (20 miles) of artificial waterways, the system is comprised of 44 locks. These include: 37 traditional locks, two sets of flight locks, hydraulic lift locks (situated at Peterborough and Kirkfield), and a marine railway at Big Chute which facilitates the transition of boats between the upper and lower sections of the Severn.

DO YOU RENT BOATS ?
Here at our resort, we do Not have the option to rent power boats. We do, however, have a selection of canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats which are included with your stay

CAN I BRING MY PET ?
We encourage you to bring your furry family members.
Please just remember to clean up after your pet, and help keep Rockside a peaceful place for all guests.
All cabins are pet friendly with the exception of
Cabin 8.
Bags supplied in dispensers throughout the property
DO YOU SELL ICE ?
New to the Resort, we will now be supplying ice for our guests and local visitors.

DO YOU HAVE SPACE FOR A TRAILER ?
No, we are not set up for RVs or large travel trailers at this time.
CAN WE INVITE GUESTS ?
Day Visits are welcome but you must purchase a Visitor Parking Pass at the Store ( $20 Per Day)
We reserve the right to refuse extra cars if we get to full capacity
DO YOU PROVIDE LINENS ?
Yes, linens can be requested at a cost of $15/bed.
$50 Max per Cabin
Indoor towels are included with cabin rental
DO YOU HOST EVENTS ?
Yes, we have often provided a space for events such as family gatherings with perks such as a large party tent, as well as over night accommodations
(some restrictions apply)
DO YOU HAVE A RESTURANT ?
We do not have a restaurant on site, but there are many local places to find great food. Some of our go-to places include: Pizza Alloro in Buckhorn or The Hippie Chippie chip truck in Woodview; all within a 10 minute drive from us
DO YOU SELL FIREWOOD ?
Yes.
Please dont bring in outside wood from home or sold bags from outside our area as we are trying to prevent the spread of tree and plant pests, fungi and disease such as: Oak Wilt, Mountain Pine Beetles, Asian Long Horned Beetles and Gypsy Moth

DO YOU NEED ACCESS TO THE LAKE ?
We are providing a select amount of docking slips with reserved parking space for Local Cottagers on Lovesick Lake.

DO YOU HAVE LOCAL DISC GOLF COURSES ?
Now that we are supplying Disc Golf Discs Custom made from She Dyzer Discs to our community, were happy to let you know we have multiple Courses to choose from from Public Viamede Course to Private Project 15; Whether your looking for advanced runs or just a fun day out they have you covered

HOW BIG IS YOUR PROPERTY ?
Situated on 4.5 acres with 950 feet of waterfront
spreading out 9 cabins and a main house. We have plenty of space for activities, beach side or out back at the horse shoe pits. 66,000 Acres of protected forest (Kawartha Highlands Provincial) Park across the street. We are a Small place with a lot to offer
CAN I BRING MY ATV ?
You sure can but you will have to leave it on your trailer once you arrive. We will have some parking available for bigger rigs with trailers coming to explore our local trails. Just remember, we have no road riding in the area so all ATV's must be trailered to designated trail headers
DO YOU OFFER DEBIT AND CREDIT TRANSACTIONS ?
Currently we are working on a solution to provide debit, credit, and e-transfer options to help make any purchases more seamless here at Rockside
